Made of mahogany with pine secondary wood around 1830. Probably New England. Retains early finish and canvas mattress support. Fits standard double mattress, but could easily convert to queen.

Queen Cherry Bed

20th c. queen sized bed made of solid cherry by Gibbard. Bed comes with headboard, footboard and two iron side rails. Light cherry finish in good shape. Bed doesn't squeak.

Oak Chaise Lounge

Recamier, fainting couch and daybed are other synonyms for this timeless form. Made around 1900 of solid quarter cut oak with original finish, this example is distinguished by elaborate carved scrolls, carved claw feet and buttoned upholstery. Found in Montreal.
